Community Garden - March Update

Hello fellow gardeners!

Spring is upon us, and this means it's time to start prepping our beds for growing at the Dunbar Temporary Community Garden. As part of the Spring Cleanup Party in March, we will be delivering a load of organic, locally produced compost. This compost is for you to add to your beds. It won't last forever, so be sure to come out! I aim to be at the garden in March.

This will also be a good time to till the soil in your bed, mix in or remove the straw, and add whatever additional fertilizers or soil supplements you like. We will provide shovels and rakes, as well as containers and soil for those gardeners interested in starting their seeds indoors.

I will be collecting 2015 Garden Fees from anyone who requested to pay with a cheque!

As a reminder, to secure your place in the garden, fees and agreements are due before the first day of spring (March 21st) –– for new and returning gardeners.

Complete the Garden Registration and Pay your Annual Fee
*** your Gardener Fee is $15 per bed, for all of 2015 ***

The official Garden Opening for the Dunbar Garden is TBA. For this event, we will be selling seeds and starts at-cost, and answering any of your growing questions. We hope you can make it out!
